When you leave a deposit, that time becomes YOUR time that no one else can have. The alternatives to deposits are higher prices to offset "no shows" or double booking which can mean long wait times. Deposits let us keep prices low and wait times are rare. Same day appointments are usually available without deposit.
Drink an additional 20-30 ounces everyday before your appointment. Eat a meal in the hour before your appointment. Above all you can do, be happy and patient. Most babies just need time. There are several uncontrolled factors that can also affect how well we can image your baby. The position of the baby or placenta, and girth of the mother can all have an affect. Thinner women image more easily than thicker women.
A 2D image shows only a splice of the baby on a single plane. 3D refers to 3 dimensional still images. 4D refers to the moving video of the 3 dimensional image.
Our phone lines are open Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm and Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm. Appointments are available Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm, or Monday through Thursday from 5:30-8 pm. The prices are lowest on Friday and Saturday.
Yes. We use low intensity sound waves that are applied for short periods at a time. The 3D and 4D uses the same sound waves as the traditional 2D. Thousands of "invitro babies" have been scanned with ultrasound weekly without any known ill effects. A 2004 study of 2,700 children found that there was no developmental or physical differences between children who had been exposed to multiple ultrasounds and those who were exposed to just one.

On site we only offer keepsake ultrasound. Our medical sonograms are available by prescription only for our doctor's patients. The number to call for Dr. DiGiacomo's office is (954)456-4888.
By 12 weeks we can usually see gender clearly, however most of our packages have gender determination available at 15 weeks. If you are 15 weeks or over, and we can't tell the gender, we'll bring you back for free within 30 days. Please note, we do not offer early gender determination as part of any sex selective abortion. Since abortion is a medical procedure, any scan preliminary to it would be a medical scan. Our medical sonograms are available by prescription only for our doctor's patients.
We operate from a doctor's office and have two sonographers. Each has thousands of hours logged and is fully competent to give you the best scan possible.
It depends on the package. There is a 10 minute package and a 20-30 minute package. The 20-30 minute package includes the option to walk around and come back in if the baby doesn't cooperate which may add to the time taken.
Seated there is room for six people in addition to you and your baby. If some don't mind standing you might squeeze in a few more.
Cash, credit card, and debit card. No checks, insurance or medical savings cards.
It really depends on what you want to see. Many women come early on (14-20 weeks) to see the gender and are amazed by how developed their baby is. Your baby's cheeks will fill out between 25 and 32 weeks.
Yes, however same day appointments are available.
